My wife and I worked with an architectural designer to create plans for a home we felt would be perfect for us. We then interviewed builders and were horrified when one builder told us we either needed to substantially increase our budget or radically reduce the scope of our plans. And the building time required would be 18 months. Rob saved the day. He explained to us that we could build our home with selected, minor modifications and through the use of the “value engineering” concept employed by Western Builders. And we could build our home in 7 months time. And that’s exactly what happened. Our home was completed in 7 months and came in under budget! When we tell our friends this, they’re flabbergasted, as no one has ever heard of this happening to anyone they’ve ever known or ever met.
Rob is the utmost professional. His calm demeanor throughout the entire building process, reassured us every inch of the way. Because of his strong commercial building background – where meeting Grand Opening dates are critical to a company’s business plan – Rob works with detailed timelines so everyone involved in the construction process knows where they stand moving forward toward the all-important end date. If someone begins to fall behind, in his very professional way, he’s all over ’em. This rarely happened, however, due to the quality of the subs selected.
During the course of our weekly meetings to review updated timelines, we got to know Rob very well. He pushed us when decisions were required to stay on schedule and held our hands and counseled us when we would hit the occasional bump in the road. He is a tremendous person. He stands behind his word and is a most accomplished builder. My wife and I can’t recommend Rob highly enough.
